Rajasthan was once the heart of the mighty Mughal Empire. The land of kings abounds with the most beautiful sights of North India, Rajasthan is the largest state of the country, Ancient monuments, unique traditions, magical natural beauty, mouth-watering gastronomy, in 14 days.
Day 01: Arrival, Sightseeing In Delhi
Arrival in Delhi, transfer to the hotel, then breakfast after booking the rooms. After a short rest, sightseeing in Old Delhi. We visit the Chandni Chowk bazaar by rickshaw, then walk to the centuries-old Old Bazaar. On our exhilarating walk, you can buy local products and taste local food specialties. We will see India’s largest mosque, the Jama Masjid, and then Mahatma Gandhi’s tomb. On our way, we can see the famous India Gate, the Parliament and the Presidential Palace. We will see Indira Gandhi’s former residence, Then we visit one of the most beautiful and important temple in Delhi, the LaxminarayanTemple. Dinner and overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi – Mandawa
After breakfast we travel to Mandawa. Before leaving Delhi, we will see the Qutub Minar, the tallest minaret in the world and the famous Delhi Iron Pillar. Mandawa was the former city of the Maharajas, where traders from abroad were welcomed. We will look at the special city mansions of the Háveli, and we will have a local lunch in one of them. The luxurious life of the old days comes to life on the walls of the houses. In the afternoon, we walk in the local bazaar, where we can see the everyday life of the locals. Dinner and overnight stay in Mandawa.
Day 03:Mandawa – Bikaner
After breakfast, we continue our journey to Bikaner, the walled desert city. In its center, the winding, narrow streets are lined with wonderfully beautiful havelis. After arrival, we will visit the only state camel farm in Asia, where hundreds of animals live. In the late afternoon, we visit the Junagarh Fort, home to palaces, temples and pavilions decorated with yellow marble, paintings and glass mosaics. This fort is the best preserved building of the Rajput kings. Overnight stay in Bikaner.
Day 04: Bikaner to Jaisalmer
After breakfast drive to Jaisalmer. We will have lunch on the way, then accommodation. After a short refreshment, we explore the local bazaar, where we taste delicious local sweets such as ghotua laddu, gyalébi and kachsori. Dinner and overnight in Jaisalmer.
Day 05: Jaisalmer City Tour
After breakfast, we will visit the Maharaja’s Palace and then walk between the walls of the fortress. The Jaisalmer fort rises 300 meters above the city. At sunset, its yellow sandstone walls look as if they were cast in colored gold. We will go to Jain temples and see some famous havelis and then Gardisar Lake. Lunch break at the hotel, rest, swimming. In the afternoon, we visit the desert, where we ride camels to see the sand dunes and the wonderful sunset. Dinner and overnight stay in Jaisalmer.
Day 06: Jaisalmer To Jodhpur
After breakfast travel to Jodhpur. After taking the accommodation and a short rest, we will take a trip to the countryside to an Indian village, see the special nature-loving lifestyle of the Bishnois, and visit a Bishnoi family. Dinner and overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Day 07: Jodhpur City Tour
After breakfast, we will visit the blue city of Jodhpur, which is famous for its houses painted in indigo blue. First, Mehrangarh Fort, built on a 128-meter-high rock, was built in the 15th century. We go into the old town, where we visit the bazaar and spice market and taste local food. We will see the Mandore Palace, then rest in the hotel, swimming. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Day 08: Jodhpur – Ranakpur – Udaipur
After breakfast we travel to Udaipur. On the way, we stop at Ranakpur and see the Adinath Temple, one of the main sacred pilgrimage sites of the Jains. The 15th century white marble church has 29 halls and 1,444 columns, decorated with particularly detailed carvings. Dinner and overnight stay in Udaipur.
Day 09:Udaipur City Tour
After breakfast, we will see the Delhi Gate and then the City Palace. The largest palace in Rajasthan was built in the 16th century. From there we go to the Jágdish Temple, then after the vegetable market to the ladies’ garden. In the afternoon, we take a boat ride on Lake Picsola, where, depending on the weather, we can also admire the sunset. Dinner and overnight stay in Udaipur.
Day 10: Udaipur – Jaipur
After getting up early in the morning, we head to the Bahubáli lake, from where we watch the sunrise. We return to the hotel, after breakfast we travel to Jaipur, the pink city. On the way, we stop for rest and a lunch break. We arrive in Jaipur in the late afternoon, accommodation, dinner. Overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 11: Jaipur City Tour
After breakfast, a full day sightseeing. First, we visit the Amber Fort, 15 km from the city. The fortress palace stands on a mountain where the maharajas once ascended on the back of an elephant. We will also have the opportunity to try this. We will see the buildings of the fortress, including the Hall of Mirrors, and then we will return to the bus by jeep. In the afternoon, we will linger in the pink city: we will see the city palace, still inhabited by the Maharaja of Rajasthan. We will visit Jantar Mantar, the observatory built by the famous Maharaja Jai Singh in the 18th century, and then take a walk in the bazaar, where we will have the opportunity to taste local food and drinks. We take a short photo break at the Palace of the Winds at the Hawa Mahal. Dinner and overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 12: Jaipur - Abhaneri – Agra
Breakfast at the hotel, then travel to Agra, the capital of the Mughals. On the way, we visit the Monkey Temple, where the locals go to feed the monkeys. We can also participate in a ceremony. During a short free time, you can recharge yourself with the positive energy of the place. We continue our trip to the famous Step Well, which consists of 3,500 steps and was built in the 8th century. After arrival in Agra, check in at the hotel then stay and dinner in Agra.
Day 13: Agra City Tour
Early in the morning at sunrise, we will visit the Taj Mahal, the monument of eternal love, which was built by the fifth Mughal Sultan in memory of his dearest wife. After breakfast, we will go on a city tour of Agra. We visit a workshop where we can see the technology and tools used to build the seventh wonder of the world. We will taste the local food, including the local sweet petha, and then visit the Red Fort with its famous palaces and buildings and the Saffron Garden. Lunch in a pleasant restaurant with a garden. In the afternoon, we will visit a mausoleum of special beauty, which is also called the baby Taj. Overnight stay and dinner in Agra.
Day 14: Agra - Delhi, Departure
Breakfast at the hotel, then we travel to Delhi. On our way, we will stop at the most beautiful shrine in Western India, the Aksardam shrine, which was dedicated to the god Vishnu. The sanctuary is decorated with more than 20,000 statues and stone carvings. After visiting the church, we end the day with a farewell dinner. Depending on the flight time, transfer to the airport or overnight at the hotel and departure the next day.
